Capital Academy of Gymnastics and Dance is a 5,500 sq ft facility 100m off Cowbridge Rd West at the foot of Ely Bridge in Cardiff. We are one of the premier full-time gymnastics facilities in the country, fitted with latest and the best in gymnastics equipment. The gym is brightly coloured and welcoming, packed full with bespoke training aids suitable for boys and girls, from pre-school to adulthood.
Capital Academy has been developed by a team that is passionate about gymnastics and dance. We offer a variety of activities to suit all ages and abilities from crawling to adulthood – including, Artistic Gymnastics, Team Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Street Dance/Cheer, Pre-school, General Gymnastics and Adult Exercise. Few gymnastics clubs in the country can boast the level of knowledge and experience in gymnastics that we can.
Capital Academy of Gymnastics and Dance boasts coaches among its staff, whose coaching experience combined equals ‘fifty five years’! Our coaches also have a wealth of experience in participation including Welsh and GB representation in Artistic female gymnastics over a 15 year period! This experience allows us to offer a programme of Artistic Boys and Girls Development Gymnastics where talented children are coached with the aim of allowing them to fulfill their potential and ultimately go on to represent their country in Gymnastics. In its first year of operation a number of gymnasts from the Capital Academy of Gymnastics and Dance were selected as part of the Welsh National Development Squad for further training and progression – a testament of the knowledge and expertise of our experienced coaches.
Capital Academy also offers a comfortable and relaxing cafe area where a variety of snacks and drinks can be purchased allowing Parents the opportunity to feel part of their child’s development.
