General Gymnastics Our classes are open to boys and girls from reception age to teens. Within these fully structured classes children will learn the fundamentals of gymnastic skills through a planned programme using all of the apparatus in the gym. Classes are progressive and aim to allow children to reach their own potential and thereby achieve success. Children who attend these classes will have the opportunity to work towards our unique gymnastics rosettes which are awarded when certain skills are competently performed. We hold our rosette assessment weeks approximately once every 3 months. Children in our General Gymnastics sessions will also have the opportunity to participate in our annual Club Competition. Boys General Gymnastics Our boy’s classes are similar to our general gym classes (see above) but are specifically for boys. Artistic Gymnastics At Capital Academy we have a variety of girls and boys squad groups. Girls are selected into one of our squads by trials that are held every 6 months or from our General Gym or Bouncing Bears classes. All of our squad groups train a few times a week and work towards various competitions. Within its first year, Capital Academy had four of its young female gymnasts selected into the Welsh Development Squad. also look at
